Do the Romanian youth need digital skills?

According to European Commission’s 2020 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), Romania ranks 26th out of the 28 EU member states.

While this data should raise some questions, it’s important to start enabling conversations around this topic. Youth definitely have the power to change these statistics in the future and it’s about time we start investing in youth in order for these changes to take place.

What can youth do to upgrade their skills:

Online courses and events: There are plenty of online resources youth can use in order to take small steps towards developing skills they might not even have a beginner level in.

Follow digital blogs: Digitalization has definitely fastened due to the current situation we are in and will continue to change just as fast in the upcoming period, thing that makes it really important to keep oneself up to date to all the changes and requirements that will make a difference in the near and long-term future.

Volunteer: New and challenging contexts will always consist of the perfect opportunities to understand the world and its needs better, as well as understanding what is required of each person to keep up with the changes happening and develop the skills needed, all of these while doing something good for the community.

What is AIESEC doing to upgrade the digital skills of youth:
